DECORATIVE TEXT HERE Hunu The sounds of car horns, the far away whisper of Spanish music, and the chatter of various pedestrians trickled into a tiny apartment window in downtown Sophia. These were the typical evening sounds of the city, nightlife being a huge part of Spain. It was 2:00 in the morning, and the particular apartment, sleeping among the chaos of stacked books and dirty clothes was Hunu. Living for a year in Sofia made you used to the commotion, so he slept soundly like a baby; snoring like a walrus. That was until, however, his phone went off. He started, and sleeply picked up his phone, unlocking the home screen to see the message.[break] jenna just broke up with meHunu shook himself out of his sleep, propping himself up on his elbows, the jumper he'd used as a blanket falling onto the floor as pushed himself into sitting position, thumbs fumbling on the screen. WHAT where are you??? You right???
we were on our date at the cafe and she just dumped me. teaches me for dating a vixen. literally.
i TOLD you that she was only dating u to get back at her boyfriend, mate
that's not helping
I thought it was serious, I really liked her you know...
I even told my dad about her just come back to the appartment I AM BRINGING THE NECCESITES it's gonna be okay Hunu grabbed his fallen jumper, tucking his cellphone in the front pocket and shoving it over his head. He jumped up and tripped over a stack of game controllers, sending them tumbling and probably breaking a good amount of them in the process. He cringed, on all fours with plastic controller pieces digging into his knees, as he listened for his other roommate. He sighed in relief to hear he hadn't awoken him, the rhythmic sound of snoring echoing through the hall. Not much could wake any of them up. He resumed by looking for some pants, and his hands met with the telltale rough material of somebody's jeans, which he slipped on. He made sure his wallet was in his front pocket as well, shoving his shoes on and stumbling to the door. He jogged down the hallway's worn rug, brushing strands of dark hair away from his face, running his fingers over his wrist to find the hair tie he usually put there to be M.I.A. He sighed and jogged down the stairs, finally reaching the bottom and easing the front door open to admit himself to the bustling streets of Sofia. The street was crowded with people, out going to clubs, or nighttime classes, or restuarants with friends. The distant music that could be heard from the window was much louder out here, and sudden peals of laughter could be heard echoing off the beautiful architecture. He supposed it was a beautiful sight, but he'd take a sunlit beach any day if he was being honest with himself. Now that he was outside he let himself relax a bit, but still kept a steady pace as he traversed the sidewalk. His friends happiness was on the line. Hunu finally made it to the dingy store at the end of his block, glancing up briefly at the flickering "Open 24/7!" sign and opening the fingerprint smudged glass door to the small store. The smell of coffee and donuts hit his nose, as it always seems to smell like in gas stations and dinky stores. He gave a polite nod to the bored looking woman standing behind the counter, half obscured by the huge scratch offs and lottery ticket set up. He strode past the aisles, searching for what he needed. "AHAH!" He said under his breath, smiling like he'd just found a golden ticket and holding up his prize like he had Simba in his hands. A box of brownie mix.

The day was anew with the sparkle of life, glittering through his dark irises as he took in the vision that was Sofia. The city was awash with it, practically painting itself in the various colors of the wide spectrum. It was fascinating, with horns blaring and the people calling out to one another. Some stalls in the street had peddlers calling out, their hopeful faces sparking a new muse in him for his next painting.
A small smile played at the corners of his lips as he fiddled with his fingers, picking at the cuticles on his fingers and flitting his gaze across the streets. His stare would pause every now and then, settling curiously on a heavily pregnant woman smiling beauteously at her partner before shifting over to a small boy with chocolate smears on his face licking at a spoon. Worthy candidates of a painting indeed, Dae thought as he peered closer at a stroller with a pair of twins gazing curiously around them with their chubby fists clenched around lolly-pops.
He was almost towards the little dingy corner store on the corner when he spotted a head of dark hair and angular features. Almost immediately his fingers twitched from picking at the raw skin, the digits on his hand littered with multiple scars that matched the one he was currently picking open. Dark eyes widened with fascination as his new target disappeared into the store, seemingly on a mission. Dae sped up his pace, feet scuffing along the street as he moved a little faster.
Before long, he was shuffling through the same aisle as the younger man, curiosity and some mischief in his eyes as he absently scrolled down the screen of his phone. The warm glass beneath his fingers lit up briefly as the screen flashed with a notification, producing a scowl on Dae's face as he noticed it was from one of his younger siblings. Ignoring it, he opened up the screen and squinted at the box of brownies in the other hand.
"France is following to revolution/there is no more status quo/but the sun comes up/and the world still spins," he off-handedly sang under his breath as he picked his way through the various cake and brownie mixtures, half-looking at the other man through his eyelashes. There was something about the other that seemed extremely fascinating, something that he couldn't quite pull his gaze from.

DECORATIVE TEXT HERE Hunu Hunu tucked the brownie mix safely under his arm, straightening up and looking inot the distance as he pondered, " Maybe I should get some coco mix... Are we out of coco mix?" when somebody passed by behind him, humming something familiar under his breath. He spun around on his heel and picked up the tune. "I helped Lafayette draft a declaration and then I said I gotta go!" He sang, his eyes gleaming and his mouth open in a grin. The woman at the counter was probably looking in their direction like they were nutters, or maybe she was used to these odd happenings at 2 A.M., who knew. Hunu quirked an eyebrow at the stranger, any fear of the possibility of this random person being a serial killer that claimed his victims in the dead of night in a small convenience store strangely absent from him. Unfortunately he was far to trusting of people who had an appreciation of the fine art of plays. "Hamilton fan, nice to see one!" He took his hand and clapped him on the back like they'd known each other forever. "My mates think I'm loony to be honest with ya." He said in his adorable New Zealand accent. "They can't appreciate the hard work that goes into making a musical masterpiece."

The moments the world slid out of his mouth, the dark-haired guy next to him effortlessly slid in the next chorus lines. He couldn't help the grin that cracked its way across his face as he flicked his head to the side slightly. Dae was sure that the poor woman at the counter would be exasperated at their actions. He almost absently snagged a few boxes of thick, deliciously gooey brownies that he could make at home easily as the man next to him cocked an eyebrow at him. His grin turned softer as the other seemed to study him for a few seconds before abruptly clapping Dae on the back like they were long-lost best friends. At his words, Dae's eyes glinted with mischief. "Oh? What did I miss, then?" he drawled out, his voice slightly accented with a tinge of Korean. Unlike his younger siblings, Dae had been born in Korea rather than some city in Spain. "Well, if your mates think you're loony then they are loony for not appreciating the music." Dae pretended to stick up his nose slightly, his jaw jutting out a little bit as he did so. "It is a fine treasure that should be appreciated like so."Then at the top of his lungs, probably deafening the poor man in the process, he sang, "SO WHAT'D I MISS? WHAT'D I MISS. VIRGINIA, MY HOME SWEET HOME, I WANNA GIVE YOU A KISS~" He honestly didn't think he was that bad of a singer, but to outsiders it was probably like listening to a tone-deaf kid on a sugar rush. He had to stop for a moment to eye the other contemplatively. "So we're not strangers anymore, my name's Dae." he greeted the other man cheerfully, dark eyes twinkling in good humor. "Full name is Dae-jung Kyung-min. But call me Dae anyways. What are you doing at Julio's this early in the morning?"Hunu Parata

Post by Jinsoul Choi on Dec 4, 2018 20:20:30 GMT -5
One that does not know Jinsoul Choi may have asked the question, "what was she doing walking down the street in the wee hours of the morning with nothing but joggers, a tshirt, and jacket?" While that sounds like the opening of a murder interrogation, the answer was quite simple: She needed a monster. You see, Jinsoul Choi was the type that stayed up all night and then fell asleep during the day -- even though her lifestyle nor shift called for it in any way. And thus, she walked to the store at nearing-three a.m. for a monster. Jinsoul sighed, pulling out her phone to slide down to refresh, yet no new messages popped up. She pouted a bit before putting it back in her pocket, looking up to make sure no birds were looking down on her from above. Julio's Crossing slowly came into sight and she picked up her pace. When she reached the door, she opened it without expecting anything. A fool move, truly. Before her eyes were two guys, conversing in the isle. "Now Jinsoul," another person who does not know her may say. "Aren't you an outgoing person? Don't you love people?" True, she would agree. But do you like seeing others in a store? No. No you do not. And if you do, you're quite mad, as she'd say. So what would any normal person do? Drop down to all fours behind a counter, of course. There was no other option to Jinsoul at the moment, or so she thought, but several entered her mind as she hit the floor. Too late now, she thought. I need to commit to the sneak. And so, she ended up half-crawling, half-crouch-running down the isle towards the freezers to get her monster, praying to God she wouldn't have to speak to anyone.

[attr="class","Im"]
[attr="class","really"] [attr="class","exhausted"]Hiding in a raincoat when things are falling apart- [attr="class","rhythm"] ❝ After leaving your apartment I hear the coast by nightfall- So sure to keep you dreaming... | She did it again.
AGAIN.
Apparently her alarm forgot to go off, and she stayed up just a little too long. Well, looking back on it, her alarm actually had gone off, blaring loudly with the squeaky voice of Pikachu and faint, cheery instrumental music. But she had simply swiped the notification away without a second thought - she was almost done with her story anyway. Or so she believed, until the handsome man from the otome had accidentally given her ten more chapters to read - which of course, she then couldn't refuse that offer. It wasn't like it was free forever! Taka's story could not simply be waited on. With his dark hair, gentle features, kind Japanese voice, bright green eyes - well, you get the idea - Aine was determined to read all of it before her free-book deadline. It had seemed like time had flown unreasonably fast, the two hours before midnight became the second hour after midnight a little too quickly. And certainly that Bio study was not going to analyze and write down itself, so she was in some, uh...some trouble. And that was due tomorrow. Also, worth a good chunk of her grade. ...Oops.
The dread had started to set in at the first realization - she would just have to skip it. She couldn't risk her sleep... or could she? This hadn't been the first time this happened, anyway...
A knot of anxiety and that biting dread hung low in her stomach, her hands gripping onto the scratched iron in front of her. The faint night breeze that had drifted inside her open apartment window hadn't been as chilly as when it forced itself against her face, so her old coat came in handy. It still had made her shake with cold at first, until her legs started working faster on the newly-replaced pedals. Olive-green eyes glanced at the moving crowds of people, the ones that were drunk versus ones that were simply high on adrenaline were almost impossible to tell apart. If not for their beet-red complexions, that was. There were also those that purposefully stood in her way on the sidewalk while riding past, too. Aine only gave them dirty looks when their attention was driven away back to their little friend groups that hollered and hooted at her. Wow. Yes, orange kitty pajamas, people, get a load of that. And don't forget the raggedy winter coat, either. She sighed at herself. Letting her legs stay straight on the bicycle until she reached the parking lot, the convenience store flashing its bright, neon letters. The doors were of course too cheap to be automatic, but in an odd way, it sort of made the place feel charming? Like a, "i need four energy drinks to stay awake at 2:00AM after binge-ing a sappy love confession story for four straight hours" kind of way. Truly, a mystical feeling.
The flickering light from the inside and a screeeek from the door she pulled open certainly added to that "charming" feel. While suddenly a loud burst of singing echoed out from nowhere, making her freeze with fear. She had only been in the energy drink section for less than a minute! According to her instincts, it was probably a good idea to grab something and just run. It didn't matter what it was. Even if it was gross, she couldn't risk running into more drunk people like that again. Her bike wasn't locked up, and really, who knew who those guys were really like?
"Monster...Redbull...M-Mocha...Oh-" She croaked quietly to herself, cussing mentally, trying to shift her focus back. Her eyes flickered around the machine, her hand flitting around in confusion until it caught the refrigerator handle. It then pulled on instinct, grabbing a bottle of something cold and a soft shade of caramel with white swirls. The door shut behind her as she turned around, but that wasn't the only thing that scared her and made her do something ridiculous. Seeing a person doing some kind of weird crab-walk across the dingy little shop and determinedly running over to the place where she had just grabbed a drink made it worse. She let out a weird gurgle that turned into a quiet swear and then a "I'm so-sorry!" to the girl who was just there. Her hands had fumbled with her saving grace in a bottle and now it was all over the floor, shattered into a hundred glass pieces, while the sweet mocha coffee pooled down into a sad, bubbly pile. Aine simply gaped at it, her head twisting around in all directions trying to find something or someone without thinking. "Uhh-uhh...uhhm?" Was all that she could muster, looking towards the two men who sung very loudly earlier. It didn't matter if they were drunk, Aine's gaze was as desperate as could be. It screamed PleasehelpmeIdon'tcareifyoukillmeinabackalleysomewhere, which was never a good sign. She knew this would cost her all of her spare change to cover this, but she couldn't exactly move to the shop counter either with her old, worn sneakers in the middle of a glass booby-trap. Why meeeee...Taka's good-looking hair wasn't worth this..!!
