3 different kinds of shapeshifters.
A) your every day shapeshifter. Can transform into their animal form relatively smoothly and don't get stuck in between forms. They are known as born shifters.
B) a human turned into shapeshifter via science and several years of adapting to their shift form. They can get stuck sometimes. With this kind of science, animals can also be turned into humans. Kind of like a reverse shift, and the animals turned human feel more comfortable in their animal body. They are known as Project S13, or reverse shifters
C) A born or reverse shifter permanently stuck into their human form with some animal parts showing through. For example, a fox shifter could have the ears and tail of their alternate form or they could have very good senses and have some patches of fur on their skin. These would be known as Anthropomorphs, or Anthros
The 'morph is kind of a second soul in a body, mimicking a demon possession but the demon is kind of backseat driving.
DINOSAUR SHIFTERS, MAYBE EXTINCT ANIMAL SHIFTERS.
kind of like jurassic park and there are test tube babies. Old DNA is extracted, and pregnant women willing to give their children up for new science have the DNA inserted into the baby's body in her womb. IDK HOW THIS WOULD HAPPEN BUT IT WOULD BE KIND OF BORING SO YEAH

And what if the dino shifters are highly looked down upon and are ONLY the product of science turning it into it by gene splicing? It could even be illegal and the ones saved from such experiments could get free tuition to the school to learn how to live with their powers - suggested by V
What if there was a special fourth category that no one knew was possible? Get this, human shifters. now, this category would be trickier and perhaps have its own laws and rules (which i will mention in a second), but what if they could say, mimic the voice of another person? mimic their looks? And say that perhaps they had to be close to this person for it to work, either emotionally or physically, or say that it only lasted a certain amount of time? -also suggested by V

Is the site going to transcend university, aka meaning will there only be characters that are in the university or would it be possible to play, say, parents of students, families of teachers, siblings of them, etc? And that also brings in the question if so, will there be the option to have kids? If so, are only graduated people allowed, people outside the university, or university students? etc etc
I've seen so many sites where only faculty and students are allowed and that frustrates me because there are some pretty good sites that restrict themselves from so much potential. So, no it's not just going to be students and staff. Parents, siblings, random strangers... HECK THE MAIN PLOT IS GOING TO BE ABOUT THE ENTIRE FLIPPING CITY LOL What's the point of restricting something when a plot like a serial killer could be expanded?
PLUS, WITH THE SERIAL KILLER GOING AROUND AND KILLING PEOPLE I CAN INTERJECT LITTLE EVENTS AND MINI PLOTS

also you could even add an underlying more mature tone by having class structures. You know, difficulties between the upper and lower classes, tensions between different types of shifters, etc - V why do you do this to me
Also is Sofia a primarily shifter city? Id assume so. Does it allow humans as well, or is it kind of off the grid? Sort of like a hidden city?
also if it would be like a prestigious prep-type school, maybe mandatory live-in system? Uniforms? Strict class archetypes, or really whatever the student chooses?
Um what I was thinking is that all over the world, shapeshifters outnumber the humans. Little by little, humans are dying out and Shapehifters are slowly taking over the planet. Sofia is going to be a city that is thought to be the primary safe zone for humans because the laws are cracking down on them and restricting them one by one. On top of that, there's going to be an instinctive predator vs. Prey thing between shifters. With the extinct animals being drawn out, those people will be a minority as the come out and the laws will restrict them.
In regards to the university, with the predator vs prey archetype, tensions are at an all time high. Especially since they are allowing humans to attend. Not many universities accept humans to attend, but with Sofia being a human safe zone, shapeshifters will protest the addition of humans to their university. Especially since the university was founded to originally protect the shapeshifters. Before the shapeshifters took over the population of Earth, the humans restricted tighter laws down on them.
Basically, history is repeating and the site is going to be centered in on the climax.
Also I was thinking maybe (kind of off topic) since it’s a city in Spain, it can have some cool old buildings and stuff? Sophia kinda reminded me of the Hagia Sophia owo - Abbyyy <3
i can imagine a huge cathedral, or like an old harbor that was abandoned and now above the water level and that's like a rave/hangout spot lolol
or like ruins somewhere outside the city - V, at it again
i can also see it, since its in the future. having a different government? like, a parliamentary type government that places more emphasis on the parliament instead of a prime minister. in fact, maybe just have a ministry/council that decides stuff. that'd help the restrictions on humans and such - go v go
